Job Summary
Our high-end plaster moulding shop in Greenpoint, Brooklyn is seeking an experienced craftsman/carpenter/pattern and mould maker to join our team. This role involves hands-on work in creating intricate forms and moulds, assisting with shop operations, and collaborating closely with our skilled team.

Responsibilities

Fabricate and assemble patterns, moulds, and forms according to project specifications.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and plans to accurately produce components.
Work with curves, wiggle boards, and various formwork materials to create precise shapes.
Operate shop tools and machinery safely and efficiently, including (but not limited to) saws, drills, and hand tools.
Collaborate with team members to complete projects on schedule while maintaining high-quality standards.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Operate a waterjet machine (training provided if needed).
Assist with general shop duties as needed.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a craftsman, carpenter, or mould/pattern maker, preferably in a high-end shop environment.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings with precision.
Experience with curves, wiggle boards, and formwork is highly preferred.
Familiarity with waterjet machines is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.
Reliable and punctual; able to work in-person Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM.
Ability to lift and maneuver heavy materials and work on your feet for extended periods.
Willingness to learn and adapt to shop-specific techniques and processes.
